7 – 9:30pm

Over a year ago, a group of Oakland women activists, artists, youth workers and daughters got together as sisters with the demand to end patriarchy and misogyny in our community. We were brought together around a series of incidents and harms in our town that affected many of our lives, our sisters, and our political work. As we talked with other women, we realized that this story has been played out before. This zine is our silence broken. Come and support the official release of our zine, “Undefeated,” and share your story with us, too!

“A progressive movement cannot, and will not, make the change that we need to see for our communities to thrive – if patriarchy and misogyny still exist in our organizations, our meetings, our coalitions, our friendships and our intimate relationships.”

Join us for a powerful night of poetry, readings, music, local food & women of color vendors and more!

Download a copy of “Undefeated” now, or pick up limited edition, printed and bound copies of the zine at the event for $5-20 to cover the costs of printing and support our collaborative work.
